Weinhandel Sabitzer GmbH is a wine trading house with a wine shop (Vinothek) in Munich-Lehel. Founder Herwig Sabitzer initially worked as a chef in top gastronomy, including in Burgundy, and ran the restaurants “Alte Königswache” and “Sabitzer” in Munich, until 1993 with one Guide Michelin star. The wine trading house Sabitzer emerged in 1980 from wine purchasing for his own restaurant and was renamed Weinhandel Sabitzer GmbH in 1990. Since 1997, the focus has been on the wine shop at Oettingenstraße 2 with tasting opportunities. The range comprises wines and spirits with a focus on France, Italy and Austria as well as overseas wines from Argentina, California and South Africa. The company offers wholesale and retail, wine consulting, tastings, a gift service, mail order and delivery service. Part of the range is organically certified (DE-ÖKO-037).
