About Welser Kieswerke Treul
Welser Kieswerke Treul & Co. Gesellschaft m.b.H. was founded in 1938 by Karl Treul in Wels and has been based in Gunskirchen (Upper Austria) since its second year of operation. The third-generation family business operates around 18 sites in Upper and Lower Austria, including gravel plants in Gunskirchen, Steyregg, Stadl-Paura, Schenkenfelden and Freistadt as well as quarries in Königswiesen and Elsenreith. Washed and unwashed sand and gravel grades, premium grits, road chippings, granite chippings and quartz sand are extracted and processed; the rocks at the Steyregg plant originate from the South Bohemian pluton. Further business areas include recycling and landfilling of excavated soil and construction waste, earthworks, building materials trading as well as transport and logistics. The materials are used in concrete and screed production, in road and hydraulic engineering, in the roof tile industry and in garden design, and comply with the relevant standards (CE marking). Product quality is continuously monitored in the company's own laboratory.
