About WEMA Flüssigtapete
WEMA Flüssigtapete e.K. is a company founded in 1980 and based in Buttenheim (Bavaria) that specialises in liquid wallpaper, also known as cotton plaster. The product consists of a mixture of cotton fibres, textile and natural fibres, bound with a water-soluble adhesive, and is applied directly to walls and ceilings with a plastic trowel. The range includes over 150 designs, among others with bamboo or silk fibres, in metallic look and white tones, as well as the variants liquid wallpaper with stone pine and the combination with LED fleece for lighting effects. The liquid wallpaper offers crack-bridging properties, sound and thermal insulation, regulates indoor humidity and is antistatic as well as repairable at any time. In addition to private customers, WEMA serves the hotel/catering, trade fair and shopfitting sectors as well as kindergartens and schools. The service offering ranges from on-site consultation and quantity calculation by WEMA design consultants and an online configurator to application and distribution via retail partners.

History
- 1980
Hans Heinz Maier applied liquid wallpaper for the first time in his own staircase; rising demand led to today's company WEMA Flüssigtapete, which grew out of the furniture and kitchen trade.
