Everything for machining
Wema Zerspanungswerkzeuge GmbH is a family-owned manufacturer of cutting tools headquartered in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm (Bavaria). Founded in 1972, the company has around 34 employees, including six apprentices, and develops, manufactures and sells milling, drilling, reaming, deburring and countersinking tools in solid carbide (VHM), tipped carbide and HSS – both as special tools made to drawing and as standard tools to DIN. The core process is 5-axis CNC tool grinding with loading robots in 3-shift operation, complemented by coatings (TiN, TiCN, TiAlN and others), cutting edge rounding, drag finishing, laser marking and a resharpening service including measurement. Customers come from the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, aerospace, medical technology, plant engineering as well as wood and plastics processing; customer examples include Porsche, Airbus and Audi supplier Grammer. Manufacturing takes place entirely in Germany at the Pfaffenhofen site, and customers throughout Europe are served via international sales partners.
