Charging and holder systems for radios from Bad Hersfeld
Wempe Elektronic GmbH (WeTech) develops and manufactures charging holders, desktop charging stations and rack charging stations for radios. What began in 1987 as a trading company for electronic components grew into a manufacturer whose vehicle charging holders enabled security forces at the US base in Bad Hersfeld to operate their radios across shifts. Today the portfolio includes passive and active charging and holder systems for numerous radio types from manufacturers such as Motorola, Sepura, Hytera, Kenwood, ICOM and others, including 19-inch rack solutions for control centers, industry and airports. The systems are modular in design and are individually configured for authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS) such as fire departments, police, emergency medical services and THW, as well as for industry and mobile operational environments. From development through engineering to series production, the products come from a single source at the Bad Hersfeld site. The company employs 17 staff and has been an officially accredited training company since 2020.
