About Werkhof Kukate
Werkhof Kukate is a historic farm in Kukate near Waddeweitz in the Wendland region, where craft courses for adults have been offered for around 40 years. On the farm, with its main house, workshop building and guesthouse, specialised workshops are available: a weaving workshop with counter-march, Jacquard, damask and dobby looms, a pottery workshop with foot-powered potter's wheels and a kiln, a goldsmith's workshop, a joinery shop as well as workshops for enamelling, leatherworking and experimental printmaking. Course participants learn craft techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors in small groups of at most eight people. The offerings range from taster and basic courses to the weaver's class at journeyman standard and a master class in textile design with a focus on weaving.
