About Werkzeugbau Meindl

Werkzeugbau Meindl GmbH in Bergen (Upper Bavaria) has been building tools, fixtures and individual parts since 1924. The focus is on the design and manufacture of punching, bending, forming and progressive die tools as well as forming and trimming tools for highly complex aluminum extruded profiles. In its own toolmaking shop, tools up to 10 t total weight are manufactured with machining dimensions of 3000 x 2000 mm; six CNC milling machines and three EDM machines cover the entire field of punching and forming technology. In the press shop, punched and formed parts are produced on presses with 40 to 650 t of press force from coil or from blanks, plus deep-drawn parts, profile machining, welded parts and hybrid components made of sheet metal-plastic combinations. The company tests the tools it produces in its own press shop until they are ready for series production and offers series production from a quantity of 1, tool service and first-article inspections according to automotive and aerospace standards. Customers include the automotive, commercial vehicle, electrical and household goods industries as well as aerospace and, since 2022, the renewable energy and electricity storage technology sector.
