About WERNIG
WERNIG Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH & Co. KG in Gelnhausen manufactures individual parts, small series, assemblies and complete systems for industry. The service spectrum includes machining (turning, milling, drilling), sheet metal working, vessel construction and welded constructions up to frames weighing 3.2 tonnes, complemented by surface treatment (sandblasting, glass bead blasting, painting), heat treatment, assembly as well as design and engineering. A focus lies on vacuum technology: the company manufactures its own products such as vacuum gates, vacuum angle valves, dust and oil mist separators, ring cold traps, condensers and safety valves, distributes MD-KINNEY vacuum pumps as general representative, and services and repairs vacuum pumps and vacuum systems from other manufacturers as well, complemented by helium leak detection, including on site. Materials machined include steels, chrome-nickel alloys, copper, aluminium, titanium, tantalum, niob, molybdenum (TZM), plastics and ceramics. Customers come from vacuum technology, the chemical industry and contract manufacturing, including PVA TePla and Pfeiffer Vacuum. Since 1946, the family business has been in operation, now in its third generation, working in a 1200 m² production hall in Gelnhausen-Roth.
