Tailor-made PVC compounds from a single source
West-Chemie is a family business founded in 1974 and now run by the second generation, based in Greifenstein-Beilstein (Hesse), specializing in the development and production of customer-specific PVC compounds. The portfolio includes rigid PVC pellets for extrusion and injection molding, flexible PVC (Shore A-50 to A-90, phthalate-free), transparent rigid PVC compounds, PVC foam compounds with integrated blowing agent, and the recyclable rigid PVC Westgran Biovin with a CO₂ footprint reduced by up to 70%. In its own laboratory, formulations, Ca/Zn-based stabilization systems, additives and customer-specific colorations are developed to series-production readiness. The fully automated production is complemented by in-house silo facilities for raw material stockpiling and a company-owned truck fleet with tarpaulin and silo vehicles. The PVC pellets are used in the construction, electrical and furniture industries as well as in mechanical engineering and landscaping, and are delivered across Europe and worldwide, including North America.

Production is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018; every product undergoes strict testing procedures from raw material inspection to final inspection. In addition, the CSTB QB34 certification and UL approvals (e.g. UL94 for Westgran 4201) are held, and every batch is fully traceable.
