About Westermo
Westermo develops and manufactures data communication products for mission-critical systems in harsh industrial environments. The product range includes industrial Ethernet switches (including Lynx 3000, Viper-3000, RedFox), routers, WLAN and cellular solutions as well as the proprietary WeOS operating system. Electronics manufacturing (SMD/PCBA) takes place at the company's own production facility in Stora Sundby, Sweden, with process control in accordance with IPC-A-610; prototypes are produced in-house. R&D, with one of Sweden's leading software test labs, is located in Västerås; technology centers for wireless and cellular are located in Mainz, Bubikon and Dublin. Customers come from the railway sector (rolling stock, trackside), energy, water supply, process industry and transport. Westermo was founded in 1975, employs around 480 people and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ependion AB, listed on NASDAQ OMX.
