About Westfleisch

Westfleisch is a European Cooperative (SCE) founded in 1928 with its headquarters in Münster and counts among Europe's leading food producers. Around 7,600 employees work at ten sites in north-west Germany along the entire value chain – from the livestock centre via slaughtering and cutting to convenience and pet food production. The total sales volume is around 900,000 tonnes per year; about two thirds go to the national market, one third to exports to 40 countries worldwide. Members and owners are more than 5,200 farmers who produce pigs, cattle and calves under cooperation contracts. The group comprises five meat centres (Coesfeld, Hamm, Oer-Erkenschwick, Bakum, Lübbecke) as well as companies such as WestfalenLand, Gustoland, Wetralog, The Petfood Company and Dog's Nature. Customers are companies in the German food wholesale and retail trade as well as the meat processing industry.
