About WestWood
WestWood Kunststofftechnik is an owner-managed family business based in Petershagen (East Westphalia) that develops and produces sealing and coating systems made from modern liquid polymers based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The products of the Wecryl and WeTraffic lines include primers for mineral substrates, wood and metal, bridge waterproofing systems according to TL/TP-BEL-EP, flexible waterproofing according to ETAG 033 as well as abrasion-resistant structure toppings, roller coatings and roller markings for traffic areas. The PMMA resins cure quickly, are solvent-free and are reinforced with bauxite as guide grain to achieve different anti-slip properties. Production takes place in Petershagen-Lahde with a capacity of 9,000 tonnes per year; the system solutions are used on balconies, terraces, in multi-storey car parks, on roads and bridges as well as in special applications and are used in 16 countries. In Switzerland, the subsidiary WestWood Kunststofftechnik AG in Rudolfstetten is responsible for sales and technical consulting and supports projects with application technology, training and on-site execution support.

Quality and Certifications
The in-house production control is monitored according to EN 1504-2 (System 2+) by the notified body Kiwa GmbH, MPA Berlin-Brandenburg. Several products of the WeTraffic line as well as Wecryl 198 carry Minergie-ECO/ecobau certificates; WeTraffic 497 has been tested at BASt according to DIN EN 1436:2018 (traffic class P7).
