About Wezel Flugzeuge
Wezel Flugzeuge GmbH is the general distributor for the ultralight aircraft of the Czech company TL-Ultralight in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Martin Wezel, an aerospace engineer, established the distribution business in Reutlingen in 1994; a partnership with TL-Ultralight has existed ever since. The portfolio comprises the models TL-3000 Sirius, TL-2000 Sting S4, TL Stream, TL-96 Sting and DAR Solo 120, several of which hold German type certification for the 600-kg class. In addition to selling new aircraft, the company offers UL 3-axis flight training, charter, test and trial flights, used aircraft and the uprating of older ultralight aircraft to 600 kg, and represents the Norwegian engine manufacturer EDGE PERFORMANCE in Germany. Since 1 July 2022, the head office has been located at Damme airfield (EDWC) in Lower Saxony, near Osnabrück; the former branch in Melle was closed. An in-house design was the Wezel Apis 2, a single-seat powered glider that first flew in 2002, whose rights were sold to Yuneec International in 2011.
