About Wickelfisch AG
Wickelfisch AG, headquartered in Ettingen in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, develops, produces and markets the waterproof swimming bag Wickelfisch. The product originated in the late 1980s from inventor Tilo Ahmels' idea of equipping Basel's Rhine swimmers with a swimming sack adapted for swimming in the Rhine; the concept was developed together with the local energy provider IWB. In the choice of material the company placed emphasis on low weight combined with high tear resistance, and on a secure, waterproof closure. In total, around 20 years of development have gone into the product; the tear-resistant ripstop material is lightweight and durable. The bags are available in various colours and sizes and are sold via the company's own online shop. Wickelfisch AG is registered as a public limited company (Aktiengesellschaft) in the commercial register of the canton of Basel-Landschaft.
