About Wipoton
Wiebusch-Polymerbeton-Technik GmbH & Co. KG, based in Volkmarsen (Hesse), manufactures components made from polymer concrete, a synthetic-resin-bound concrete without any cement content. The material concept is characterised by low porosity, water tightness, high strength, low weight, temperature resistance and high vibration damping. The company is organised in three divisions: WipoTon (drainage systems made from polymer concrete and plastic), WipoTec (machine elements and special machine bases made from mineral casting) and WipoLit (mortar systems for shaft rehabilitation). In the WipoTec division, machine beds, machine frames, tripod feet, cast plates and robot assembly tables are manufactured in single-piece and series production according to customer requirements, with a casting tolerance of 0.03 mm. Customers come, among others, from mechanical engineering, electronics manufacturing, medical and dental technology as well as automotive testing technology. Developments are carried out partly in cooperation with the University of Kassel; the products are accompanied by design support and delivered ready for assembly.

Materials & Processes
Mineral casting (polymer concrete)
Synthetic-resin-bound concrete with high damping, stiffness and low thermal conductivity for machine beds and machine frames.
Polymer concrete
Material for drainage channels and construction elements with low porosity, high strength and temperature resistance.
Synthetic resin (binder)
Binder of the polymer concrete instead of cement, decisive for the material properties.
Plastic
Used in the WipoLine plastic channel in the drainage sector.
Wipolit mortar
Shaft construction mortar, pouring mortar and shaft rehabilitation mortar for the WipoLit shaft regulating system.
