Wiederkehr Recycling AG, headquartered in Waltenschwil, is a recycling company and raw materials trader that has been in existence since 1959. The company processes materials from recyclable substances such as metal, plastic, scrap and civilisation waste and supplies customers such as steelworks, foundries, copper works, zinc works and aluminium works as well as recycling traders and sorters. Recyclable materials are purchased from, among others, scrap traders, municipalities, disposal yards, collection points, haulers, trades, industry, the construction industry and retail. The Wiederkehr Group comprises three sites: Waltenschwil (the largest recycling operation in Switzerland, with rail and truck access), Schwarzenbach with the only shredder plant in Eastern Switzerland, and Lauchringen in Germany with the largest scrap shear in southern Germany. In addition, the company offers logistics, disposal concepts, collection service, demolition service, container service, event service as well as consulting and circular economy management from a single source. Wiederkehr Recycling AG is a company of Thommen Group AG.
