About us
Wiederkehr & Villiger AG (Wi&Vi) is an engineering office based in Rotkreuz (Zug) specialising in railway electrification. Founded in 2015, the company plans and realises overhead contact line and catenary systems, traction power supplies, switchgear and switching stations, service and depot facilities as well as return conductor systems and railway earthing. Its services include planning and design, approval procedures, construction and execution projects, site supervision and commissioning, as well as mast and cross-span calculations, overhead contact line control systems, safety-relevant key interlocking systems and multi-voltage AC/DC systems. For asset surveying, the contact wire position is recorded with a laser measuring device. Clients include SBB (framework agreement via IG Contact – rs ingénieurs SA + Wi&Vi AG), SOB and the Federal Office of Transport (BAV). The office was involved, among other things, in commissioning surveys of the Gotthard and Ceneri Base Tunnels as well as in major projects such as the capacity expansion of Bern West station and the Zurich–Winterthur Four-Track project (Mehr-Spur). In 2025 the company employs 22 staff.
