About wienerberger Austria
Wienerberger Österreich GmbH is the Austrian subsidiary of Wienerberger AG and the largest Austrian producer of brick masonry and ceramic roof system solutions. The company manufactures infill bricks (Porotherm wall bricks and plan bricks, partly with mineral wool filling), clay roof tiles in large, standard and small formats, concrete roof tiles, and facade products such as Terca clinker bricks and slip bricks, Argeton clay panels and Tonova facade bricks. Processing is done by firing the raw material clay; at the Uttendorf plant, the Porotherm Plan E is fired entirely electrically. In the clay roof manufactory, custom solutions are created with special color glazes and panel shapes. In a pilot project with Wiener Linien, bricks are made from recycled clay excavated from the U2 tunnel construction. With its headquarters in Vienna, six infill brick plants and three roof tile plants as well as ten warehouses, the company supplies customers in residential, commercial building and renovation throughout Austria with around 500 employees.
