About WIKUSO Kunkelmann
WIKUSO Kunkelmann Kunststoffverarbeitungs-GmbH was founded in 1932 and is owned by the Kunkelmann family, now in its fourth generation. Since 1952 the company has processed acrylic glass (PMMA), making it one of the pioneers of acrylic glass processing; since 1971 polycarbonate (PC) has also been used. The company manufactures technical plastic parts, displays and sight windows – as one-off production through to series production, based on samples or drawings. Manufacturing includes computer-controlled cutting, CNC and conventional drilling, turning and milling (including 5-axis machining and high-speed milling), laser cutting of PMMA up to approx. 20 mm thickness, hot and cold edge bending up to 3000 mm length, deep-drawing-like forming of sheet material 2–15 mm, blow forming of acrylic glass tubes, as well as bonding, grinding, polishing, matting and assembly. Markings are applied by screen printing, thermal printing, embossing or digital printing; after processing, PMMA parts are stress-relieved. Location and production are situated in Bad König in the Odenwald.
