Manufacturer of fresh meat and sausage products since 1885
Wilhelm Brandenburg is a long-established manufacturer of fine meat and sausage products based in Frankfurt am Main. Founded in 1885 in Rügenwalde on the Pomeranian Baltic coast, the company produces at six sites in Germany a broad range of fresh meat specialities, sausage products, ham specialities, pasta products and delicatessen items. These include Rügenwalder Teewurst, made to the original recipe of 1927, as well as Frankfurter Würstchen. As the largest private-label supplier for the markets of the REWE Group, the company supplies exclusively REWE, PENNY, nahkauf and Wasgau markets with around 2,800 employees and annual revenue of approximately 770 million euros. The products reach the logistics centres of the REWE Group via fresh-service logistics in refrigerated vehicles directly after processing. All production facilities are certified to QS and IFS Food; since 1986 Wilhelm Brandenburg has been part of the REWE Group.
