Wilhelm Schildmeyer GmbH & Co. KG has been developing and producing furniture at its main site in Bad Oeynhausen since 1947 and is in its fourth generation of family ownership. The range comprises around 60 product lines in the areas of bathroom, hallway, office, bedroom and living room furniture. At Plant 1 in Bad Oeynhausen-Lohe, up to 35,000 furniture parts are produced daily from chipboard, MDF and melamine-coated panels on two CNC machine lines and three CNC machining centres; the creation of samples and prototypes takes place in the Design Fabrik. In Porta Westfalica, up to 2,000–3,000 finished items of furniture are packaged per shift, and the company manufactures and prints its own cardboard boxes.
