Under the banner of Smart Surface Technology, Wilhelm Taubert GmbH develops and produces customised release films, overlays and coated films for industrial applications. The focus is on radiation-cured coating systems: the company uses electron beam accelerators for electron beam curing (EB) of its coatings. Since solvents are avoided and energy consumption is low, this technology is considered particularly environmentally friendly. Working closely with customers, surfaces are created that combine design, haptics and function — from ultra-matt anti-fingerprint solutions to highly durable technical coatings. The product families include WITAfilm (release films), WITAsmart (overlays) and WITAtone (coated films). The company was founded by Wilhelm Taubert, who handed over the management to his daughter Sarah Taubert in 2019.
