VOGEL Antriebstechnik – Precision Gearboxes Since 1946
Wilhelm Vogel GmbH is a medium-sized, owner-managed family business based in Oberboihingen near Stuttgart, which since 1946 — for over 70 years and now in its third generation — has developed, manufactured and sold precision gearboxes, drive systems and customer-specific drive solutions for industrial applications. The product range covers rated torques from 10 to 50,000 Nm and extends from classic machine gearboxes through bevel, bevel-face and planetary gearboxes to high-precision servo gearboxes and rack-and-pinion drives. All bevel gearboxes are produced using the ground circular-arc gearing method according to Klingelnberg; the company's own highly modern production with a high level of vertical integration also includes in-house gear manufacturing and gear-cutting work. Materials such as grey cast iron, spheroidal cast iron, aluminium die casting and steel (including C45) are used in the gearbox housings and shafts. Custom gearboxes are possible from lot size 1. Customers include, among others, machine tool manufacturing, plastics and film processing, and food and packaging machinery; sales are handled via sales and service partners in more than 40 countries on all continents.
