About WIND-consult

WIND-consult is an independent, accredited measurement and engineering office specialising in wind energy. The company, founded in 1990 as a spin-off from a research institute of the former Academy of Agricultural Sciences and headquartered in Admannshagen-Bargeshagen near Rostock, employs around 20 staff, including 17 test engineers. Its range of services covers measurements on wind turbines (power performance in accordance with IEC 61400-12-1, sound emission and immission, grid compatibility in accordance with IEC 61400-21-1, loads/stress), wind measurements with anemometers and remote sensing methods such as lidar, inspections of wind turbines, blade tests, and planning of wind turbines including wind potential, energy yield and GIS analyses. Further services include determination of site quality after commissioning in accordance with the EEG (FGW-TR10), sound prognoses, shadow flicker calculations and R&D projects. The company has been accredited as a testing laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 since 1996 and as an inspection body since 2024, and is approved for power curve and sound emission measurements in accordance with Danish guidelines.
