1. 1987

   Founded as a hardcore shop for skaters and windsurfers on Dudweilerstraße in Saarbrücken on approx. 100 m²

2. 1989

   Move to Fröschengasse into a retail space spanning three floors in Saarbrücken's old town

   New leadership, complete redesign, focus on fashion; brands such as Chiemsee, Oxbow, Quiksilver, Burton, Billabong, Stüssy and Oakley; snowboards gain in importance

4. 1994

   Century flood of the Saar; the team cleared the basement, workshop, warehouse and goods overnight and avoided major damage

5. 1996

   Redesign of the Saarbrücken store; opening of a branch in Saarlouis (Bibelstraße, 100 sqm); windsurfing is discontinued

6. 2002

   Markus and Oliver, long-time employees, take over WIND and the management
