About Windhager
Windhager is an Austrian heating manufacturer based in Seekirchen am Wallersee, founded in 1921 by Anton Windhager as a metalworking shop and today part of the BWT Group under the name BHT Best Heating Technology. The product portfolio includes pellet and log boilers, wood-chip heating systems with fuel gasification technology, gas condensing and oil heating systems, air/water heat pumps, solar collectors as well as buffer tanks and domestic hot water boilers. The wood and pellet heating systems are manufactured exclusively at the company's headquarters in Seekirchen am Wallersee; a plant in Pinsdorf with a logistics centre was approved for heat pump production in 2021. Boilers and storage tanks are predominantly made of steel and assembled. Sales are handled through the company's own branches in Germany, Switzerland and France as well as a Europe-wide partner network. In 2021, around 70 % of revenue came from exports.
