Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of high-quality seating and sleeping experiences headquartered in Etsdorf am Kamp, Lower Austria. Founded in 1896 as a saddlery by Franz Wittmann, the family business, now in its fifth generation, evolved in the 1950s into an internationally renowned upholstery furniture manufactory. It produces sofas, armchairs, chairs, beds and mattresses in precise handcraftsmanship based on wooden and metal frames. In addition to its own collection, which also includes authorized reproductions of Josef Hoffmann furniture, the company realizes bespoke designs and project furniture for public and private interiors, especially in the hospitality sector. With nearly 100 employees, around 15,000 handcrafted pieces of furniture leave the Etsdorf plant every year; the export share is 70 percent, with products offered in more than 50 countries. Sales locations include a flagship store in Vienna, a partner center in Hoogstraten (Belgium) and the WITTMANN PIVA hall for Design Sale in Etsdorf.
