About WKT Group
WKT-Wernemann Kunststofftechnik GmbH, based in Geeste-Dalum, has been developing and manufacturing special products under the PLASTIC TEC brand for over 25 years that insulate against high voltage and extreme temperatures. Production takes place on modern CNC systems; the sister company WKT Press Technologies GmbH (PRESS TEC) presses highly load-bearing, fiber-reinforced plastic sheets and molded parts on a modern press system. The portfolio includes thermosetting insulating materials such as hard paper, cotton hard fabric, polyester resin and epoxy resin laminates, as well as thermoplastic engineering and high-temperature materials whose temperature resistance, depending on the material, ranges from −200 °C to +1000 °C. In addition to the manufacture of individual components and assemblies, material consulting, painting in the in-house paint shop, and material testing in the company's own laboratory are offered. Customer industries include electrical and high-voltage engineering, machinery and press construction, the steel and glass industries, transformer and motor manufacturing, traffic engineering, medical technology and the chemical industry. Through distribution partners in the United Kingdom, South Korea, Singapore and India, the WKT Group serves international markets.

Hard paper (phenolic resin/paper)
Good weather and moisture resistance, heat resistant up to 120 °C; used in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and high-voltage engineering.
Cotton hard fabric (HGW 2082-2083)
Excellent mechanical strength and good sliding properties; used for bearings, transformer construction and construction elements in the food industry.
Polyester resin laminates (GPO-3)
Very good electrical insulation properties, tracking resistant (CTI 600), heat resistant up to 155 °C; used in switchgear and transformer construction.
Epoxy resin laminates (FR 4, FR 5, G 11)
High mechanical strength and high flame retardancy, temperature resistance from −170 to +250 °C; used in motor and generator construction and in the electrical industry.
Engineering plastics
Good mechanical properties with high wear and chemical resistance; used in mechanical engineering, medical and traffic engineering.
High-performance and high-temperature materials
Heat resistance from −200 to +310 °C or up to +1000 °C; used in the steel and glass industries as well as in tool and mold making.
