WKV Wasserkraft Volk AG develops and manufactures complete Water-to-Wire solutions at its Gutach site in the Black Forest for small to medium-sized hydropower plants with turbine outputs of up to approx. 35 MW. The portfolio includes water turbines for low and high heads as well as variable water flows, high-efficiency synchronous generators, control, regulation and remote maintenance technology under the name WKV Smart Hydropower, in-house switchgear and transformers, as well as accessories from shut-off devices to intake pipes. Teams of designers, engineers and technicians cover the entire life cycle: engineering, manufacturing, on-site commissioning and long-term service. The company's systems are in operation in over 50 countries worldwide with an installed capacity of more than 1,400,000 kW. The quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
