About Wohlrab
Wohlrab Aufdampftechnik GmbH, founded in 1976, is an owner-managed family business headquartered in Langenzenn (Middle Franconia) with more than 400 employees at sites in Europe and Asia. The company offers contract coating and surface finishing of plastic parts, optical glass, metals and ceramics – including PVD coating (thermal evaporation, electron beam, sputtering), PECVD, robot-assisted painting in cleanrooms, biocompatible coating systems, nano and parylene coatings, ITO and EMC coatings, pad printing of up to six colours, laser engraving and precision-optical thin-film systems (EBE, IAD, MS). Through its One-Stop-Solution, Wohlrab develops and manufactures complete components including plastic injection moulding, masking technology, jig and fixture construction, additive manufacturing (HP Multi-Jet-Fusion, SLA, FDM) and assembly. Key industries are medical technology (especially hearing aids), precision optics, electronics, sensor technology and automotive. The production site PT Wohlrab Indonesia in Batam (9,000 m²) enables efficient mass production, while research and development takes place predominantly in Langenzenn.
