About WOKA LAMPS VIENNA

WOKA LAMPS VIENNA produces handcrafted luminaires in Vienna based on historical designs from the early 20th century, in particular by Josef Hoffmann and the Wiener Werkstätte. The company began in the 1970s with the trade and restoration of a large collection of Art Nouveau lamps; in doing so, craftsmen were discovered who still mastered the old metalworking techniques. By acquiring the copyrights and original tools from 1900, Wolfgang Karolinsky laid the foundation for the company's own luminaire production. In the company's Wiener Werkstätte, an international team of designers and artistic craftsmen faithfully reproduces ceiling lights, chandeliers, pendant lights, table lamps, floor lamps and wall lights. Old metalworking techniques are used in production; in addition, WOKA offers restoration and design research based on a photo archive with over 7,500 images. Today's customers are mainly architects and interior designers; the export share is 95 percent.
