About Wolthers Brotkate
Wolthers Brotkate is a bakery company founded in 1946 by master baker Heinrich Wolther, headquartered in Walsrode-Honerdingen, which today is run as a family business in the third generation. The bakehouse produces a range of breads, rolls, topped snacks, cakes and fine pastries fresh every day. Baking follows the company's own original recipes with complete avoidance of industrial ready-made mixes; premium flours are used, along with homemade natural sourdough and pre-ferments, butter and rapeseed oil instead of hardened fats, natural flavorings and colorings, regional pasture milk, and ingredients predominantly of regional origin. The offering also includes breakfast services, party catering, topped rolls available by pre-order, and an online shop with collection at the branches. In addition to the main store "Heimatliebe" in Honerdingen, the company operates numerous branches in Walsrode, Verden/Aller, Bad Fallingbostel/Dorfmark and Soltau, including cafés and branches in Netto, Famila and Hagebaumarkt stores. Many baked goods have been awarded prizes by the Zentralverband des Deutschen Bäckerhandwerks (German Bakers' Confederation).
