About Wood4Bauhaus
Wood4Bauhaus is the Wood Sector Alliance for the New European Bauhaus – an open European platform of the wood-based sector that promotes knowledge exchange, co-creation and skills development. The Alliance advocates the use of wood and wood-based materials as circular, bio-based materials in construction: durable wood products can store carbon in buildings for decades or centuries and contribute to the circular economy through reuse, reprocessing and recycling. The goal is to promote research and innovation for novel wood applications in the Built Environment, to develop new collaborations across disciplines and sectors, and to build competences for future generations. The Alliance is supported by the Horizon projects WoodCircus, Basajaun, EcoReFibre and InnoRenew CoE of the European Commission. It is not a classic manufacturing company, but an association of federations and stakeholders from the wood sector, the construction industry and architecture.
