About the Württembergische Spiralsiebfabrik
The Württembergische Spiralsiebfabrik GmbH (WSF) was founded in 2010 in Ebersbach (Baden-Württemberg) and, as a full-range manufacturer, produces spiral belts made from plastic monofilaments for a wide variety of applications. The portfolio includes fixed and finished spiral belts as well as raw belt fabric, which, when processed, are used as flexible machine clothing, among other things, in paper machines with production speeds of up to 2000 m/min. Materials processed include PET in several grades (standard, hydrolysis-resistant, food-grade, with silicone admixture), PPS, PEEK, PA, PTFE coatings, antistatic bicomponent materials, and monofilaments twisted with stainless steel wire. The final step in production is thermal fixing with stretching, which ensures dimensional stability, strength, and uniform air permeability. The production systems were developed and built in-house, so that application, material, and manufacturing technology can be matched to one another. With the bicomponent development Spiralsolution 72000 TCPEEK7 (DIABOLO), the company combines a PEEK core and a fluoropolymer coating for high-temperature applications. The company's commitment to research and development was recognized in 2023 by the Stifterverband.

Materials and Processes
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) Standard
High breaking strength, dimensional stability and abrasion resistance, usable dry up to 150 °C.
PET with silicone admixture
Particularly abrasion-resistant and easily cleanable with high-pressure washing.
PET Food Grade
Certified food-safe with low water absorption and high abrasion resistance.
PET-Teflon blend (PTFE, ETFE, FEP)
Improved anti-stick properties, resistant dry up to 160 °C and wet up to 140 °C.
PTFE (Teflon coating)
Long-term resistant from -200 °C to +260 °C as well as against solvents and aggressive chemicals.
Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS)
Chemically resistant against acids and alkalis, usable in the high-temperature range up to 200 °C and flame-retardant.
Polyetherketone (PEEK)
Very high hydrolysis and continuous temperature resistance up to 250 °C.
Polyamides (PA)
Resistant in alkaline media, very abrasion-resistant and tough.
Antistatic (bicomponent material)
Core made of hydrolysis-stabilized PET, sheath made of statically dissipative blend with resistance in the range of 10^6 ohms.
PET twisted with metal wire
Hydrolysis-stabilized PET monofilament twisted with stainless steel wire, electrically conductive in the ohm range.
TCPEEK (bicomponent monofilament)
PEEK core coated with fluoropolymer, for high-temperature applications with anti-adhesive surface.
