WuM Werkzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH Mühlhausen was founded in 1995 in Mühlhausen, Thuringia, and specializes in the development, design and manufacture of tools, progressive compound tools and injection moulding tools as well as the production of mechanical precision parts. The service portfolio includes wire EDM, electric discharge start-hole drilling, water jet cutting, CNC milling in 3- and 5-axis configurations and turning up to small-series production. In addition, sample parts, zero-series runs, jigs and assemblies for general mechanical engineering are produced and inspection gauges are manufactured. The entire production flow from design through machining to testing of the tools under production conditions takes place in-house. The company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and executes customer orders at the Mühlhausen site, supported by state-of-the-art CAD/CAM and metrology technology. More than 30 highly qualified engineers, technicians and specialists handle orders for toolmaking, mechanical engineering and stamping technology.

Electric Discharge Start-Hole Drilling
Creation of the smallest start holes in electrically conductive materials, even after the hardening process.
Water Jet Cutting
Cutting and contour cutting of plates up to 2.500 x 1.395 x 200 mm.
CNC Milling (3- and 5-Axis)
Machining of large workpieces up to 2.000 kg, also 5-axis with swivel head for complex geometries.
