About WWS GmbH
WWS Technik in Form und Kunststoff GmbH has been developing and producing technical plastic parts in thermoplastic injection moulding for the electrical engineering industry, automated mechanical engineering and capital goods since 1993. The range of services extends from tool design (CAD/CAM) and in-house toolmaking with prototype, series production, insert and in-mould tools through to series production, assembly and final packaging. A key focus is the patented process for overmoulding and potting sensitive electronic components up to protection rating IP67, which replaces conventional encapsulation and can save up to 70% of individual parts. Production comprises 27 injection moulding machines with clamping forces of 200 to 2000 kN and shot weights of 0.16 to 400 grams, including vertical machines for insert parts. Only technical plastics are processed, such as thermoplastics, thermoplastic elastomers and polyurethanes, high-performance polyamides, polyesters as well as glass- and carbon-fibre-reinforced, flame-retardant materials. Capacity is 60 million parts or 300,000 kg of granulate per year; prototypes are produced as milled parts, STL parts and vacuum castings. The company is ISO 9001 certified, UL listed and based in Oppenweiler near Backnang.

Materials and processes
High-performance polyamides
Technical plastics for demanding components, partly used as metal substitutes.
Thermoplastic elastomers
Also used as light-transmitting injection moulding compound in the electronics potting process.
Thermoplastic polyurethanes
For elastic and abrasion-resistant moulded parts.
Glass- and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics
For highly load-bearing, highly precise and thin-walled parts.
Flame-retardant plastics
For electrical engineering applications with fire protection requirements.
Polyester
Technical plastic used in injection moulding.
Recyclable plastic materials
Sprue remnants and waste are collected by type and reused.
