About Wohnhilfe
Wohnhilfe is a traditional furniture store in Zurich, founded in 1945 as the 'Werkgenossenschaft Wohnhilfe' (Wohnhilfe production cooperative) by the Zurich designer Jacob Müller together with master carpenters from Eastern Switzerland. Today, the company at Claridenstrasse 25 carries more than 30 premium brands, mainly from Switzerland, Italy and Germany, including COR, de Sede, Giorgetti, Tecta, Interlübke and Baltensweiler. In addition to selling designer furniture and lighting, Wohnhilfe offers interior planning and home consultation — from floor plan analysis and material and colour concepts through to technical feasibility — as well as made-to-measure acrylic furniture and accessories and special custom-made pieces. Further services include reupholstery and new covers in fabric or leather, repairs of furniture and luminaires, plus delivery and assembly. Delivery within Switzerland is carried out by the company itself, while international shipping goes through logistics partners, with shipments already made to the USA, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. Since its acquisition by Thomas Lips in 2015, the business has been continued and modernised in line with its tradition.
