About Wyss Zurich
The Wyss Zurich Translational Center is an accelerator of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich that translates innovations in the fields of regenerative medicine, robotics and medical technology/bionics into market-ready products and therapies. It operates two technology platforms: The Regenerative Medicine Technologies Platform manufactures medicinal products for clinical trials under GMP, with cleanrooms of classes A to D, process development laboratories, quality control and release testing. The Biomedical and Robotics Technologies Platform supports the complete product development – from engineering (electronics, mechanics, software) through prototyping with 3D printing and CNC milling to industrialization and small-series production. Projects from ETH and UZH receive access to infrastructure, quality management, regulatory support, supply chain management and mentoring. The goal is to bridge the gap between basic research and application.
