About XAL
XAL GmbH, headquartered in Graz, is a manufacturer of architectural luminaires and lighting solutions for modern, energy-efficient lighting systems. Founded in 1989 by Andreas Hierzer, the company develops and produces LED luminaire families for ceiling, wall and floor, including downlights, spotlights, wallwashers, profile and system luminaires, display case, acoustic and outdoor luminaires (IP44-IP65). XAL operates as a complete lighting provider and covers the value chain largely in-house: its own electronics manufacturing at the Graz headquarters, central production, and the XAL Competence Center (XALcc) with EMC and photometric laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025. In addition to standard products, the company offers Customised Solutions with special colours, custom radii and specially developed sensor technology. The portfolio also includes lighting design, lighting calculations, 3D visualisations, BIM data (Revit, pCon), LED conversion kits and installation coordination. The XAL Group employs around 1,500 people across three continents and operates through 30 country subsidiaries, including the production company XAL Svetila d.o.o. in Murska Sobota (Slovenia). From 1.1.2022, a 5-year warranty automatically applies to XAL luminaires.
