About XCMG Europe

XCMG Europe GmbH, founded in 2011, is the European headquarters and international investment platform of the Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG), one of the world's largest manufacturers of construction machinery. At its Krefeld site in the Europark Fichtenhain, the group consolidates several entities: the XCMG European Research Center (ERC), the largest R&D center of the XCMG Group outside China, the Purchasing Centre for sourcing European components, and the European Sales & Services Organisation for sales and aftermarket. At the ERC, multinational engineering teams develop technologies in the fields of hydraulics, transmissions, drive systems, electronics and software, control engineering, and functional safety — for cranes, excavators, fire-fighting vehicles, and other construction machinery. The technologies developed flow into core components such as transmissions, hydraulic valves, and safety-oriented control systems. According to its own statements, the company employs more than 3,000 people in Europe, around 98 percent of them local staff, and supports all European XCMG entities with services such as Finance & Controlling, HR, IT, and Equipment Leasing.
