About XeelTech
XeelTech GmbH is an Austrian company founded in 2019 and headquartered in Attnang-Puchheim (Upper Austria), specializing in haptic feedback technology. Its core product is HAPTICORE, a rotary haptic actuator based on patented electromagnetic technology — without a motor and without vibrotactile actuators — which makes mechanical input elements such as rotary knobs, rotary switches, scroll wheels and thumbwheels freely programmable via software: the strength, number and spacing of ticks, rotational resistance and end stops are individually configurable. In addition, the company offers RHEOSHOX, a magnetorheological damping technology with real-time adaptivity. All products are designed, industrialized and produced in-house — series production takes place on STIWA Smart Automation lines at STIWA Advanced Products in Upper Austria with a capacity of up to 1.5 million parts per year. Since 2024, XeelTech has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the STIWA Group (revenue of EUR 340 million in FY 2022/23, 2,440 employees, 12 sites on 3 continents). Customers and partners come from machinery HMI (KEBA KeWheel), gaming (Razer), consumer electronics, smart appliances and healthcare.

Technologies & Materials
Electromagnetic technology (HAPTICORE)
Patented technology that varies the friction between the fixed and moving part via electromagnetic manipulation, thereby creating freely programmable haptic patterns.
Magnetorheological fluid (RHEOSHOX)
Changes its viscosity under a magnetic field from liquid to semi-solid and, in combination with a patented valve design, enables real-time adaptive damping.
Aluminum (ring surfaces)
Surface material for scroll wheel rings for individualized look and feel.
Steel (ring surfaces)
Surface material for scroll wheel rings for a premium, robust haptic feel.
Rubber (ring surfaces)
Elastomer surface for scroll wheel rings for grippy, comfortable operation.
