Xtal Concepts GmbH is a technology company founded in 2012 in Hamburg. The company develops, produces and distributes measuring instruments for the characterization of nano- and microparticles in liquids. The flagship product is the DLS measuring system SpectroLight 600, which is based on dynamic light scattering and is used, among other things, for protein quality control, crystallization screening and buffer optimization. Using Terasaki and 96-well plates, the system enables high-throughput measurements with minimal sample volume. The solutions are aimed at users in structural biology, protein analysis and the pharmaceutical industry, among others for methods such as MicroED, ITC, SAXS, SPR, TEM, SFX and 3D cryo-EM. From development through production to commercialization of the measuring instruments, the company covers the entire value chain at its Hamburg location.
