About xtonomy

xtonomy GmbH is a technology company based in Aachen specializing in the automation of mobile machinery. The company develops and delivers Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS), collision avoidance solutions, shovel assistance as well as software for fleet orchestration and process optimization, including integration of the iCrusher solution from indurad. The perception of the systems is based on indurad's 360° radar technology (Scanning Dynamic Radar 2D and 3D as well as Doppler Velocity Radar) with up to 50 revolutions per second and sub-millimeter-accurate distance measurement; the radar remains functional in dust, rain, fog and snow. The OEM-agnostic and interoperable platform is designed for mixed fleets as well as hybrid indoor and outdoor areas underground and above ground. Industries of application include mining, quarries, metallurgical plants and smelters as well as other industrial indoor/outdoor applications. xtonomy was founded in 2011 as an R&D company of indurad and was fully spun off in 2021; through indurad there are branches in the USA, Canada, Brazil, Chile and Australia.

Quality and Standards Compliance

The AHS fully complies with ISO 17757:2019 for the safety of autonomous and semi-autonomous machine systems and uses a drive-by-wire communication standard based on ISO 23725. Multiple safety layers such as geofences, wireless e-stop systems and a mode selector switch secure operation.
