About iamiam
YellowAndPurple GmbH produces artisanally made soy tempeh in Sternenberg in the canton of Zurich under the iamiam brand. For this, dried soybeans are soaked, hulled, cooked and, after drying, inoculated with spores of the edible mold Rhizopus oligosporus. During several days of fermentation under controlled conditions, the mycelium grows through the beans and forms a sliceable block with a mild flavor profile. The product is pasteurized and offered in 200 g packages. Distribution takes place via the company's own online shop with chilled shipping from September to May (shipping each Wednesday, free shipping from CHF 50); the delivery area is Switzerland. In addition, recipe ideas are offered as well as, on request, cooking evenings with instruction in Indonesian tempeh preparation.
