Z + R Kunststoff-Technik GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed family business based in Grafschaft-Gelsdorf that has been producing technical molded parts from thermoplastic- setting (duroplastic) plastics for over 70 years. Production is carried out by press extrusion using UP-EP molding compounds such as SMC and BMC as well as free-flowing thermosets such as phenolics and melamine. The press park comprises 16 systems with pressing forces between 100 and 500 tons, complemented by six SMC cutting systems, three BMC dosing units and CNC systems for rework. In addition to molded parts, the company offers CNC machining, mechanical and electrical testing as well as complete assembly of component groups. Customers are found in the electrical industry, in rail and rolling stock construction, in energy supply, welding technology, aviation and mechanical engineering. In addition, Z+R supplies insulator supports as standard parts made of glass-fiber-reinforced polyester or epoxy resin.
