Craftsmanship with Tradition
Zachlod Kanitz Grabmale is a master stonemason and stone sculptor business in Kerpen-Sindorf near Cologne, founded in 1980 by Jürgen Kanitz and today run by Benedict Zachlod as the second master generation. The family business produces individual gravestones, grave complexes for family, single and urn graves as well as lettering plates in its own sculptor's workshop through traditional craftsmanship. In addition to new production, the company carries out restorations and reworking of existing gravestones. The materials used are mainly natural stone from Germany and Europe, preferably the dark-green-appearing diabase and the beige French limestone Comblanchien; glass, wood and metals can also be combined. The range of services includes personal consultation on site or at the cemetery, design with a detailed drawing and the artisanal implementation. Customers can view further works on the open-air exhibition grounds next to the Sindorf cemetery.
