ZAFA, Wärmetechnischer Apparatebau GmbH manufactures rapid steam generators (steam boilers) with steam outputs of 150 to 4000 kg/h at operating pressures from 13 bar standard version to 70 bar as a special version, in vertical or horizontal design depending on output. The portfolio also includes high-temperature thermal oil heaters, steel chimneys, plant engineering and steel structures as well as tube coils and pressure vessels produced in-house by certified welders. In addition, the company offers accessories such as flue gas heat exchangers, steam separators, feedwater tanks, water treatment and reverse osmosis systems, dosing systems and mixing coolers, as well as repair and refurbishment of steam boilers. Manufacturing is carried out in accordance with Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and EN 12952 with type testing and CE marking; all systems are inspected multiple times by TÜV during production and assembly. Optional features include modulating boiler control (40–100 %), modular plant construction including container or truck solutions, and automatic start/stop facilities. The company, founded in 1978, is headquartered in Au am Rhein, Baden-Württemberg.
