Zeichenfabrik is an art school and studio in Vienna, founded in 2009 as a small drawing school. It offers courses and workshops in drawing, painting, illustration, printmaking and interdisciplinary techniques – on site at Flachgasse in Vienna-Fünfhaus as well as online. The programme is aimed at children, teenagers and adults of all levels and comprises around 66 courses, including life drawing, watercolour, oil painting, drypoint etching and zine workshops. As a studio, Zeichenfabrik carries out design commissions such as corporate design, illustration, publication and wall painting with a curated network of creatives. For companies, team events and team-building formats are offered at the interface of art and communication, including graphic recording, graffiti workshops and joint painting projects. Over 10,000 people have taken part in the programmes since the founding.
