The ZWT (Center for Knowledge and Technology Transfer in Medicine) is a location for start-ups and companies in the life science sector in Graz. ZWT GmbH manages, operates, and commercializes the ZWT facilities, including laboratory and office space. The ZWT and the ZWT ACCELERATOR, opened in 2022, are directly connected to the MED CAMPUS of the Medical University of Graz and the LKH-Univ. Klinikum Graz. Tenants have access to the core facilities of the Medical University of Graz. The facility was established by the Economic Affairs Department of the State of Styria and the Medical University of Graz, with co-funding from the State of Styria and EU funds (ERDF). The offering includes subsidized space for founders, networking between science and industry, and events such as network breakfasts and the Medical Research Academy Graz.
