Company History
- 1922
Ernst Walther sen. opens a mechanical workshop at Hauptstrasse 34 in Düdingen and operates one of the first filling stations in the Sense district (contract with Lumina AG, the predecessor of Shell Switzerland).
- 1927
New building of the garage with filling station at Hauptstrasse 36; dealership for the Amilcar brand as well as the motorcycle brands Royal Enfield and Condor.
- 1935
In addition, installation and repair of electrical equipment to secure operations.
- 1939
Death of Ernst Walther sen.; his widow Lydia takes over the business on a provisional basis.
- 1946
Leasing of the garage; further lessees: Marcel Boschung (VW, 1952), Kanis Jungo (Fiat/Vespa, 1954), Roland Fasel (VW, 1965).
- 1971
Ernst Walther jun. takes over the garage and founds Zentrum-Garage Düdingen AG.
